What a scorcher!!! Thirty degrees plus for tonight's league games but no complaints, we've had enough bad weather for the first few weeks. Thirteen players competed in the league tonight with some impressive scores returned.
Tonight's winner, with an excellent 22pts was Jason Allum. Runner-up was Dave Warwick (21ots) followed by Cilla Osgood (20pts).
The Best 7 league is now starting to take shape with more players completing seven games. It should be a close contest this year. Jeremy Twaits currently leads the way on 115 followed by Cilla Osgood 113 and Dave Warwick 110.

To celebrate the nice warm weather and to add a bit of fun to the competition, Captain Judy declared today a "funny-hat" day. The clear winner in this category was Brian Faithfull!!
There was also the belated presentation of the RNLI shield to winner Allan Trotman.
A slightly sad end to the day as we said farewell to two more of our seniors who are leaving the club this week. Club stalwart Derrick Perrin and Sandy Deacon provided wine prizes on their last day. We wish them well in their new adventures elsewhere.
