A crispy start followed by some nice warm sunshine for today's senior competition. This was a bogey competition - matchplay against the par of the course. The course is a tough opponent to beat - never makes a mistake and never gives you anything, including those tricky two-footers that we all miss from time to time. Never missed one? You're lying!!!!
Today's winner who finished level with the course was Steve Vale. Runner-up on -1 was Roy Whiting followed by Rod Spring and Mike Miller on -2.

February Medal
A welcome break in the wet weather enabled us to play the February Medal today. Unfortunately, there were three temporary greens, so it was played as a non-qualifier. This was the last of the winter Stableford medals and nine players braved the chilly winds.
The clear winner with a superb 40pts was January winner Jeremy Twaits. Runner-up was Andrew Mead on 33pts followed by Mike Miller just one point further back.

Despite the difficult conditions, there were 2 two's recorded - Andrew Mead and Jeremy Twaits both at the 8th hole. With the two's pool rolling over from the last two medals, the "jackpot" was shared between them!!
This was the final counting Stableford medal in the Winter Medal Aggregate competition (best 3 scores from 4 medals). With his excellent score today to count, Jeremy Twaits topped the list followed by Andrew Mead and Steve Cobb.
