Carole Scott Cup

Fifty-two players competed in the Carole Scott Cup today. This competition is named in memory of Carole Scott, an ex-lady captain of the club who is fondly remembered by many at the club. The competition was played in less than ideal conditions with wind and rain the main ingredients of the day. This year the competition was played as a strokeplay event (Stableford previously) which meant that no handicap adjustments needed to be made for this mixed gender competition.
Todays winner with nett 68 was the ever improving Kim Richardson whose handicap is now down to 18. Runner-up with the best gross of the day was Ian Martinez who scored a superb gross 74 (nett 69) just beating Roger Tillett into third place on the same nett score.

Thanks to all for turning out in the conditions to make this event the success it deserves.
