The new captains, Club Captain John Graham and Lady Captain Maria Tillett officially started their year in the traditional way with the Captain's Drive-in prior to the Captain's Cup competition today. This year, they were joined by Seniors Captain Tom Wallin and Junior Captain Curtis MacGeever.
The day started with hot beverages and danish pastries followed by the drive-in and 18 holes of golf in cold, windy conditions but thankfully dry.
The Stableford Captain's Cup competition was won by John Baron with 41 points. One point further back and runner-up was new Lady Captain Maria Tillett and a further point behind was third placed Jean Raincock. Full result - click here.
Following the golf, all players were treated to lunch courtesy of the new captains prior to the prize-giving.
The chosen charity for our Captains this year is "Action for Children".
We wish all the new Captains good luck for the year ahead.
