Ladies Open

A lovely day with great weather saw the ladies from 10 clubs taking part in the NRGC Ladies Open. The teams of three played in a Bowmaker competition (best 2 scores) for the team prize and individual prizes. The winning team with 86 points was the Judy Willson team, with Tess Chantrey & Sue Adams from Donnington Valley. Runners-up with 81 points was Maria Tilletts team with Jules Tarr & Judy Jones from Castle Royal. The individual winner with 37 points was Lorraine Storey on countback & 2nd also with 37 points was Sylvia Davis from Donnington Grove.

The longest drive event was sponsored by Fifth Avenue Collection who provided 2 beautiful necklaces as prizes, which were won by Kim Richardson for NRGC & Jules Tarr for Castle Royal. The visitors nearest-the-pin on the 2nd was won by Sue Adams from Donnington Valley. The raffle raised £177 for the captain's charity Action For Children. My thanks go to John Day & Tom Wallin who acted as the starters for the ladies & to Fay who assisted with raffle tickets & cards etc in the morning & afternoon. Thank you to all who supported the event, I do appreciate your support. Well done to all. A lovely day.
Maria Tillett.
