After a few days of sweltering heat, some welcome rain arrived today. Luckily the rain stopped for the start of this week's league games.
Even with a testing westerly breeze blowing, there were still some good individual scores this evening. Paul Bennelick (One For The Road) and George Baker (Captain's Eleven) both scored 20 points apiece, but this week's winner was John Day (Allsorts) who just beat Matt Heffy (Rec Soc) on countback after both scored 21 points. This week's winning team were Captain's Eleven followed by One For The Road who just beat Allsorts courtesy of their fourth score.
Unusually, the top two teams came 8th and 9th this evening which allowed the chasing teams to close the gap a little in the league. Easily Second still remain top, eight points ahead of Birdies & Bogeymen with Captain's Eleven four points further back. In the Best 5 competition, Danny Glover still holds the top spot on 100 points from Luke Bannister on the same score.
