A damp, drizzly day at the Racecourse today for the annual April Fool Texas Scramble. But the damp and breezy conditions didn't affect the scoring too much with many excellent scores returned. Nineteen teams of 3 competed for the prizes.
The winners were the team of Mark Allen, Jon Miller and Allison Holmes with an impressive 57.4 just ahead of unlucky runners-up Dave Warwick, Roger Tillett and Jim Holmes (57.6) who carded the lowest gross of the day 64. Third place went to last years winners Darren Boyce, Lorraine Storey and Jean Raincock on 59.2. Well done to all competitors for completing their rounds today in trying conditions.
