The Last Hurrah
Sunday 12th January 2014
This is a competition to mark the final time the existing 18-hole layout will be played at the racecourse ... the end of an era!!
Entry is now closed for this event with 27 teams taking part. Although this is a fun competition, I'm sure there still be a friendly competitive edge to proceedings!
Team registration will take place from 07:30 onwards in the NRGC clubhouse. Those who have not paid, please be ready to pay at registration.
There will be tea/coffee and bacon rolls available to purchase in the clubhouse.
We are all scheduled to tee off at 09:00 with a shotgun start. Please be patient and vigilant - there are a lot of players on the course at the same time.
Men will play from the yellow tees and ladies from the red tees.
A full handicap allowance will be given with an extra two shots for ladies.
There will be main competition prizes and also nearest the pin prizes.
For those unfamiliar with the format, it is a 123 Waltz Stableford.
The best Stableford score to count on the 1st hole, best two to count on the 2nd hole and all 3 to count on the 3rd hole. Then back to one score for the 4th hole, 2 for the 5th hole, 3 on the 6th hole, etc., etc.
Irrespective of your start point on the course ...
best 1 score on holes 1,4,7,10,13,16
best 2 scores on holes 2,5,8,11,14,17
best 3 scores on holes 3,6,9,12,15,18
Presentation will take place asap after all cards are returned and ratified.
The draw for which tee to start on will appear on the NRGC website during this coming week.
Any queries, please contact Paul Hickey or Sian Soanes
