Tough conditions today at the racecourse for the May Seniors Medal competitions with a strong breeze blowing and some squally showers to add to the excitement!! The scoring reflected just how tricky it was. There were separate medal competitions for both men and ladies today.
In the men's medal, John Butcher was the victor with a nett 76 and the lowest gross of the day (89). Runner-up was John Clark on 77 followed by Chris Piper who just pipped Harry Jackson on count-back after both scored 78.

[A big thank-you to John Day who was earlier reported to have won the medal. He realised when he got home that he had recorded and signed for an incorrect (lower) score on one of the holes and had the courage and integrity to report this and request a DQ]
The ladies medal was won by Sam Whiting also with a nett 75 followed by Jan Hinks with a nett 81.

Just a single 2 recorded today by ladies winner Sam Whiting at the 17th hole.
