I was delighted to play on our course today in the November Greensomes. My golf was not great but the course was!! I tried to fix two pitch marks on each green and amazingly only found three in total. It was also good to see the new seed boxes being used on the tees.
IF WE TAKE A PRIDE IN OUR COURSE NOW WE WILL REAP THE REWARDS IN THE SPRING.
FILL IN YOUR DIVOTS, FIX YOUR PITCH MARKS, SAND THE TEES, TAKE PRIDE IN OUR COURSE.
Thanks to all.

I agree with you.
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to make a pitch mark to repair one. Make it a HABIT that as you walk on to a green take out out your repairer and repar any mark you find.
When you are on a tee waiting OPEN YOUR EYES and you will see damaged or 'poor areaa' in need of soil/seed.
It will pay in the future!!
Pity we can't get the green fee payers to do the same
ReplyDeleteWho is the Anonymous?.......whoever you are I can assure you, from first hand experience of spending hours working on the course and watching. The problem is mostly with members who think that as they have paid their subscription they can behave as they wish. The average green payer is not capable of making a pitch mark.......most of the time the ball is being knobbled along the ground.
ReplyDeleteGreat point Chris, "Fact" I believe.
