Mixed Open

John Day and Laura Hawkins from Donnington Grove are pictured receiving their prize as winners on countback with 40 points in our Mixed Open today. A very testing day in the wind saw 26 pairs take part in our Mixed Open. We had visitors from Bishopswood, Cams Hall, Deanwood Park. Donnington Valley, Donnington Grove, East Berkshire, Newbury & Crookham and Winter Hill. Second place on countback went to Paul Seymour and Jean Raincock. In third place on countback with 39 points was Mark France & Shey Walder from Dave Warwick and Alison Goudge.
Our top visiting pair not in the main prizes were Ian Fox & Sue Gardener from Cams Hall who won a pair of tickets to racing at Newbury. Men's nearest the pin was won by Russell Bowers and the ladies nearest the pin by Maria Tillett. The men's longest drive was won by Paul Seymour and the ladies longest drive by Shey Walder.

Thanks to our starter John Taylor and also to Mike & Judy Willson and Marian Taylor and Roy Whiting for their invaluable help on the day. £175.00 was raised in the raffle for our Captains Charity Newbury & District Cancer Care Trust. Fiona and her staff provided us with an excellent meal afterwards.
Sam Whiting.
