Senior Captain's Day

Today's event for the seniors was Seniors Captain's Day organised by our esteemed outgoing seniors captain John Day. I think I speak for all the seniors at the club in saying that John has done a superb job as captain in organising all the year's competitions, matches and events and representing the seniors at committee meetings, etc. After the golf today, we were treated to a buffet lunch courtesy of John. Thank-you and well done John!!

The competition (courtesy of Mr Perrin) was an interesting variation of a 1-2-3 team Stableford with one score in the team counting on par 5's two on par 4's and all three on par 3's. Eight teams took part.

The winning team with an excellent score of 79pts were Les Eden, Geoff Denner & Mike Workman. Runners-up with 74pts were Allan Trotman, Derrick Perrin & Gordon Turner followed by Richard Hook, Sandy Deacon & Steve Thompson just one point behind.
